Women's health issues or Gynecology has a long history with Traditional Chinese Medicine. There are many ancient texts on gynecologic and reproductive problems, some dating back to 1500 BC. That’s over 3,500 years ago!

So you can rest assured that treating women's gynecological problems with acupuncture and herbs has truly been tested by time.

Many factors can influence your reproductive organ system, such as cold, dampness, heat, and stress. Diet, overwork, pregnancy and childbirth can also play a role in some gynecological problems.

Since the reproductive organ system is not essential to life or health, your body will divert food and energy from it when other organ systems are in need. This could be happening and you would not even be aware of it.

Extreme examples of this are women who run long distance marathons or suffer from anorexia or bulemia. Haven't you heard of women whose periods have stopped from running or dieting too much?

The premise of Traditional Chinese Medicine is that imbalances in your energy flow cause disease, and acupuncture is a way to create and maintain the proper symmetry required by the body.
