Blue Orchid Healing Center's goal is to make acupuncture affordable for you to come as often and for as long as needed to resolve your particular health problem.
Remember, acupuncture works best if you can get it as often and as frequently as recommended.
Please take your treatment recommendations into consideration when you evaluate where you would like to fall in this sliding scale. On your first visit, I will provide you with some guidelines for our sliding scale as I understand that this concept is new to most people.
You decide what you can afford based on your household income.
The purpose of the sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment; I want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better! I understand that everyone’s situation is different.
Everyone coming for treatment is part of the Blue Orchid Healing Center community and I look forward to making your treatments work for you.
All treatment is provided in a group setting. There are recliners in groups throughout the center. You may have the choice of laying down on a massage table or sitting in a recliner for your treatment.
You should expect to retain your acupuncture needles for a minimum of 45 minutes. During this time, you will need to remain still.
The insertion of acupuncture needles promotes the release of endorphins and most people tend to feel drowsy or deeply relaxed. Often people fall asleep.
I no longer accept any type of insurance as insurance companies do not accept sliding scale fee structures (their rules, not mine), effective as of May 1, 2007.
Even though Blue Orchid Healing Center no longer submits billing to insurance companies, you always have the option of submitting your receipt for reimbursement on your own. Just ask for a detailed receipt at the front desk.
Fees
Community Acupuncture Fees -
The sliding scale ranges from $20 - $50 per treatment with an extra one-time $25 consultation charge with the initial consultation.
Individual Treatment Fees -
Occasionally someone will request an individual treatment or a one on one treatment. These are available for very limited time slots and fees start at $75 per hour per modality and up.
